His career took flight in the 1990s, where he quickly became a key figure in Paris nightlife, performing at legendary venues such as Bains Douches and La Locomotive.
A pivotal moment came in 2001 with his encounter with DJ Carlos Campos, which led to a prestigious residency at B. Fly on the Champs-Élysées. During his tenure there until 2004, DJ Benjamin Franklin released several acclaimed compilations and honed his signature style—a sophisticated fusion of house, soul, and lounge.
In 2004, he launched his own label, Supersound Records, spotlighting rising stars of the Parisian electronic scene. His international reputation soared with high-profile remixes and collaborations, notably with CeCe Peniston and DJ KAIO. Known for his percussive, genre-spanning sound, he began playing top clubs across the globe—from Miami to London, Kyiv to Bali.
In 2008, seeking to break the mold of conventional club nights, he created the avant-garde party concept Who the F* is Benjamin Franklin? alongside MC Adrian. A vibrant mix of live performances, drag queens, and percussionists, the event quickly became a sensation at Palais Maillot in Paris, regularly drawing crowds of over 1,300. It cemented his status as a nightlife innovator, praised by both media and partygoers.
In 2015, driven by a thirst for new rhythms, Franklin relocated to São Paulo, where he immersed himself in Latin American sounds, from Brazilian samba to Colombian cumbia. This deep dive into local culture marked a creative turning point, inspiring electrifying sets that blended Latin percussion with electronic house. His performances lit up venues such as Pacha Rio and Zax Club, while collaborations with artists like Hernán Cattáneo further solidified his influence on the South American scene.
In 2024, after years of exploration and evolution, DJ Benjamin Franklin made a powerful return with a series of new productions. These tracks—infused with Latin flavor and driving beats—gained traction on global dancefloors, played by the world’s top DJs at festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland. His unique ability to marry pulsating electronic energy with the sensuality of Latin rhythms sets him apart as a master of reinvention.
