Ninchley Toussaint Matombé, also known as Ras Ninin, is an artist who captivates audiences with his inspiring lyrics. As a “seggaeman”, he draws deeply from his observations of life—ranging from societal and political issues to family matters and personal experiences. Through his original lyrics, set to the rhythms of seggae, he delivers powerful messages that often provoke critical awareness and reflection.
 
Ras Ninin’s musical journey began with the release of his debut album, Obzervé, in 2006, with his band Kool Kreol Band. This album showcased his unique musical style and solidified his place as a prominent figure in the seggae scene. His primary goal is to inspire listeners, stimulating their consciousness and intellect. This achievement fills him with pride and fuels his drive to deliver exceptional performances to his fans. With this successful first album, Ras Ninin emerged as one of the heirs to the throne of Kaya, the king of seggae.
 
To date, Ras Ninin has expanded his discography to include five albums and two live sessions. Following the success of Obzervé, Ras Ninin & the Kool Kreol Band embarked on a musical journey, releasing remarkable works such as Rev Lavenir (2011), Renaissance Roots (2011), Ras Ninin Live Grand Gaube (2014), Bat Lamok (2017), Dan Sinplisite Live Studio Session (2019), and their latest release, Red Card, which came out this year.
